Open roads - ride safe!
Enchanted Circle is held on open roads with both marked and unmarked hazards. Though we go to great lengths to make the event as safe as possible, you are only as safe as you ride.
Please ride carefully through Taos Canyon as the roads are narrow with minimal to no shoulder. We also advise that you use caution and control your speed when descending Palo Flechado and Bobcat Passes. There are steep descents, tight curves and the road conditions vary from good to poor.
As in all TRC rides, support will be plentiful. Five aid stations will be stocked with Tailwinds Hydration mix and water, sweet and salty snacks and include portalets, handwashing stations and a bike technician. Along the course you will be supported by local law enforcement, medics, road marshals and SAG vehicles. Please be prepared however to take care of your body, whatever the weather, and be able to change your own flats.
Click here to watch out safety video and read up on other safety tips.
Please also be mindful of the environment and wildlife. If you encounter any wildlife on course, please keep your distance. For more information on
wildlife encounters click here.
Credentials
Your rider credentials include a wrist band, bike plate, and raffle ticket. Affix your bike plate to your handlebars with the zip ties. Use your wrist band to gain access to the aid stations and the post ride lunch. Please note, the wrist band is your meal ticket so don’t lose it.
Important Reminders
1. Raffle ticket - Find our red bucket on the stage and place your raffle ticket to win. Must be present to win.
2. On your rider bib, you do have a free beer. Find our beer station to redeem after your ride.
Road Work on Course
🚧 Enchanted Circle Course Advisory: Road Construction Notice 🚧
Please be aware that there is an active construction zone at the bottom of Palo Flechado Pass, just over 1 mile long. Crews are working on the shoulder, and traffic may be reduced to one lane with a temporary traffic signal.
For your safety, we will have event personnel stationed in this section to help monitor traffic flow.
We kindly ask all riders to:
Stay alert and follow instructions from event staff.
Be patient and respectful of vehicles sharing the road.
Ride single file and do not cross into oncoming lanes.
Your courtesy helps keep everyone safe — thank you for your cooperation!

Following the ride, you will be treated to some Northern New Mexico cuisine by Shotgun Willie’s with vibrant colors, delicious ingredients and regional spices. This post-ride meal is included with your registration. You may purchase additional meal tickets for family and friends by visiting our Merchandise Booth on Friday & Saturday.
